Microchip Promotion
If your pet does not have a microchip, when you take out insurance and have a chip fitted within 7 days afterward, we reimburse up to €13 of its cost. Insurance cover begins once the chip is fitted.

What conditions does the insurance cover?
Your pet's insurance covers the following conditions: cardiovascular and respiratory disease; malignant cancer; diabetes mellitus; digestive tract disorders; ear problems; endocrine system; feline asthma; feline lower urinary tract disease; infectious distemper. Documented payments to the veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment of the listed conditions are reimbursed.
Does my pet have to be microchipped?
Yes. If the pet does not have a chip when the policy is taken out, it can be fitted within 7 calendar days. Cover begins once the chip is fitted and Broker Ins is notified.
Which veterinarian can treat my pet?
We do not have a network or list of partner veterinarians — the only requirement is that the veterinarian must not be the same person as the policyholder.
Where is the insurance valid?
"Protected Paws" insurance is valid for events occurring within the territory of Bulgaria.
How do I file a claim?
You fill in a claim form and submit it together with the veterinary report and the treatment invoice.
Are surgical treatments and hospitalization covered by "Protected Paws" insurance?
Yes. The insurance covers veterinary treatment for the listed conditions and accidents, and surgical intervention and hospitalization are included as part of veterinary treatment up to the policy limit.
