Livestock breeding
Various livestock, such as cattle and buffaloes, sheep and goats, horses, hinnies, mules and donkeys, breeding pigs over six months old, and pigs for fattening, poultry, beehives, fish – farmed in intensive fish farming ponds, pheasants, chukars, quail and useful game – raised in game farms, etc. – is insured.
The insurance covers damages resulting from accidents, natural disasters, fire, contagious, non-contagious, parasitic and other diseases, falling over a precipice for grazing animals in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas, death or slaughtering (killing) of animals and poultry out of necessity.
The sum insured for the animals is determined under the invoice or balance sheet value, or is agreed upon between the parties taking into account the individual qualities of the insured objects, the breeding conditions, etc.
