Professional Liability Insurance of Private Bailiffs is obligatory for persons carrying out this activity, according to Ordinance № 2/06.02.2006. This insures the professional liability of the insured person with regard to:
All sums up to the agreed limit of compensation (sum insured) which the insured is legally obliged to pay as compensation for insurance events arising from a culpable breach of professional duties as a private bailiff under the current regulatory framework.
Insurance events covered by this insurance are property and non-pecuniary damage caused to the parties, other participants in the enforcement proceedings, and to third parties, which occurred on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria during the term of the insurance as a result of the carrying out harmful act or omission of the insured private bailiff.
All settlement costs incurred by the insured with the consent of the insurer included in the agreed limit of indemnity.
