Tour Operator’s Liability Insurance is obligatory for any tour operator licensed under the law for the provision of tour operator activity.

What coverage does this insurance provide?

The insurance provides protection against compensation claims for material damages caused to the user as a result of failure to pay the tour operator with its contractors and suppliers, including the insolvency and bankruptcy of the tour operator.

The scope of insurance coverage includes:

  • Reimbursement of the amounts paid by the consumer under contract for organized group or individual tourist trips with total costs before commencement of the trip.
  • Payment of the difference between the amount paid by the consumer under the contract and the amount of the services actually provided, in cases where only part of the agreed services are provided during the journey.
  • The cost of returning the consumer to his/her point of origin.

The liability of the insurer under the terms of the contract for organized travel as concluded with the insured.

In addition to directly caused damages, all legal costs incurred by the insured when the claim against him has been brought to court are included, including legal expenses, court fees and expert fees.
