What is insured is the employer’s responsibility for damages to his/her employees resulting from his own actions in the course of or because of fulfilling their obligations according to the employment contract. The insurance operates on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Subject to insurance are all people in employment relations with their employers. What is covered is the statutory according to the Labour Code lack-of-guilt liability of the employer for property and non-property damages caused to his/her workers or employees as a result of work accidents irrespective of whether the injury has been caused by him/her, one of his/her bodies or his/her workers or employees.
The insurance coverage also includes the expenses the insured has made to limit the extent of the damages when acting with the necessary for the circumstances care even if his/her efforts have proven unsuccessful. It also includes expenses on experts and witnesses on civil trials against the insured in relation to insurance events covered by the insurance.
